I've been to Jodi a few times now for electrolysis, and she is great at what she does! Also, the new location is so nice and really gives you the full spa experience, and I am even willing to drive all the way from Athens, GA just to see her. She makes sure that you know all of the information and how to get the best results! I would definitely recommend this spa! No matter what you need done, this is the perfect place to go to feel comfortable and relaxed!

Wonderful experiences thus far. Jodi is so easy to talk to and very accomodating. I called late on a Friday afternoon with a crick in my neck and she worked me in that same day. It was wonderful. I can't wait to see her new location and try out other things she has to offer. 

I began to seek out a place to get an ionic foot bath upon finding out how much your liver processes (deodarant, perfume, etc). I originally picked Healing Harbor bc they had the best prices and location. I was very pleased with the relaxing atmosphere and personable, friendly staff. Moreover, the ionic foot bath was incredible! It's unbelievable how much toxins are in our systems and could see that it truly works (my water looked horrible!) I will be going back for many and would recommend Healing Harbor to everyone. They also offer package deals for purchasing multiple which I haven't found anywhere else.

I absolutely love the service and the steady hands of Jodi. This was my first time ever getting electrolysis and I was a bit apprehensive of the entire procedure, but she held my hand through the entire thing and recommenced the best way to make this procedure work. OMG, wow name the word of fantastic and roll it with humor, care and just amazing and that is Jodi. I am more on the plus size and have wanted a brazilian done but have been to embarassed to do so. I've been going to Healing Harbour for my electrolysis for several years now and Jodi is the best! When I've used other salons in the past I've always been nervous of the procedure as it can be quite painful and not a nice procedure overall. I have been getting my eyelashes done at the Healing harbour for almost 6 months now. Before Healing Harbour I got my eyelashes done with the individuals every 2 weeks, three if I was lucky. I loved how they made me look and feel but hated that they irritated my eyes soooo much! They bent every which way after a few nights of sleep and hurt and stung like crazy when it came to taking them off;( I thought as a woman 'pain is beauty' until I heard about the new technology for applying lashes. Initially the price made me hesistant. But after have little to NO lashes left (my old lash extensions took out my lashes) I saved up the money to give Jodi a try. I am living breathing proof that I can promise once you give this a try YOU WILL NOT GO BACK!!! The application process was peaceful, all i had to do was lay there and I actually feel asleep..lol. Once we were done I couldnt feel the eyelashes since they were on my lash and not my eye-OUCH! These lashes are durable and so easy to take care of! I have even went as long as 4 weeks before getting a refill. Making the the price worth it once you do the math...be old lash sets were 35 every two weeks...I get ENDLESS compliments from people asking me do I use eyelash conditioner, and what is my secret. Jodi has totally turned my skin around with her PCA Skin Peel treatments! I am African-American & whenever it was time for me to get a Relaxer, my skin would break out around my hairline. Not only was it painful, but I'd get a lot of hyperpigmentation as well. I used to take prescriptions thru the dermatologist which in turn made my chest break out in a yeast infection. It was a neverending cycle & I didn't want to continue to take medication for the 3rd/4th year. Especially with the unwanted side effects.
Now my skin doesn't react as voilently to needing a Relaxer & the hyperpigmentation doesn't last for months & months at a time. With the peels & great products recommended by Jodi, the spots are getting to be less & less. When I do get them, they lightly peel away to show the new glowing skin.

I live in Decatur and drive up to Marietta to go to Healing Harbour. Jody is an incredible asthetician, better than any I have been to in Buckhead or Midtown or my international spa trips. I have been pampered at spas on cruise ships, at luxury hotels in Las Vegas and ski resorts in Colorado. I have been to spas in exotic locales, in swanky resorts on tropical islands. They are beautiful, their offerings rich in both number and price. But have I seen results? Well, if it's an hour or two of quiet that I want, then those spas have served their purpose. They are like a pretty face with no brains behind them. My skin has certainly seen no improvement from their facials and most of their massages are relaxing but not helpful. If you want a pretty face, ok. But if you want attractiveness with brains that equal results then you must try Healing Harbour.
Let me first tell you about their massages. I have been a client of Healing Harbour for years and I just recently decided to try the massages. I suffer from severe chronic migraines. As I have stated, I have had many massages and for the most part they are just relaxing at best. I know that I have two areas in my upper back that are knotted and no masseuse has ever bothered with them. Jodi Cabena, owner of Healing Harbour, performed my first massage. She worked those knotted areas intensely. Additionally, she knew the exact pressure points in my head and neck to work. I walked out in a trance and did not have a headache for 2 full days. My second massage was with Joseph. I had come in with an awful migraine in the works. Joseph knew exactly where my knots were, placing his hands there immediately. I usually find it difficult to fully relax with someone that I dont know but somehow with Joseph that was not a problem. Like Jodi, he seemed to have a sixth sense, and while I am generally a realist and a practical person, he honestly seemed to have a magical touch. He knew just where my head hurt and when he was done, my migraine was completely gone. And it stayed gone. These are massages that served a purpose not only was I relaxed, but the CAUSES of my tension and stress were removed.
So you want a facial. Ok, but what do you REALLY want? You want something that is going to improve your skin and the way it looks, something that goes beyond what you are already doing at home. Every other spa I have gone to has followed the Karate Kid method of giving facials: wax on, wax off. They put something on my face, they wipe it off. They spray something on my face, they wipe it off, they do a mask, they wipe it off. If I walk out with anything on my face, maybe it's a little moisturizer. And without fail, the next day I break out and for a week my face and skin looks absolutely terrible. Of course I'm told that is normal, that the facial brought out all the toxins. So I have paid a lot of money for a huge breakout of pimples. Sound good to you? Not to me. That's why when Jodi Cabena of Healing Harbour suggested facials, it took a lot of convincing on her part. However, because she and I had established a high level of trust with her eyelash extensions (more on that later), I decided to give her facials a try. Well, there is no "wax on, wax off" at Healing Harbour! Jodi uses the highest grade products and everything that she puts on your skin STAYS THERE, to be absorbed by your skin. And breaking out? Forget it! Let's talk about results! I do not wear make up any more - EVER! No foundation, no base, NOTHING! My skin looks amazing! The "11s" in between my eyes are gone! The laugh lines at the corners of my mouth - nearly invisible! Understand - these are not fluff and puff facials. These are the real deal. If you want fluff and puff go somewhere else but if you want results this is the place. I NEVER had facials but I am hooked and will stay on a regimen with Jodi. She has even been able to provide facial waxing for me when no one else could. She worked relentlessly on a process that would allow me to get rid of the facial fuzz without having to deal with the inevitable breakouts afterwards. I even rely on her advice for my son who has skin problems. As for the eyelash extensions, these are what brought me to Jodi in the first place. She is truly an artist. I have seen several other people who have extensions and their lashes do not compare - and that is their own opinion as well. People stop me - at high end beauty counters, in salons, etc. As a matter of fact, at a recent visit to the opthamologist, the doctor could not tell that the extensions were not my own lashes! He was absolutely amazed and took Jodi's number for his own wife. She takes her time and is meticulous about safety as well as about making sure her work looks natural. Because of the lash extensions, I no longer wear mascara or eye makeup. The time this saves is worth everything. And because of that, no matter the bad economic times, I will NOT give up my facials or lashes with Jodi. As I said in the beginning, if you want results, go to Healing Harbour.
